  • Overview

    Provide assistance to laboratory staff and engineering staff as required.  Primarily, responsibilities will include performing concrete and soil laboratory testing, assisting lab manager with more advanced laboratory testing, perform calculations, organize results, keep work areas clean and in order, and maintain various laboratory equipment. 

     

    Responsibilities

    1. Perform concrete and soil laboratory testing and analysis with minimal supervision.
    2. Assist lab manager in performing more advanced laboratory testing as required.
    3. Assist in performance of calculations and graphs related to laboratory testing of soils.
    4. Prepare, clean and maintain laboratory-testing equipment.
    5. Notify management of workload or lack of workload.
    6. Complete work assignments efficiently without exceeding allotted time frames.
    7. Prepare tables, charts, and field data entry forms.

     

    Physical Requirement

     

      1. Must be able to move, lift or carry objects or materials up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
      2. Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
      3. Ability to physically maneuver construction sites and excavations
      4. Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communications in the English language, including the ability to communicate directly and over the telephone and be understood. 

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Possession of a valid state of residence driver’s license.
    • Ability to be insured under all applicable Corporation insurance policies and requirements.
